01Capture the request
Record the vehicle year, make, model, mileage, VIN or identifying detail when needed, customer-stated concern, timing, warning indicators, drivability, recent repairs, and drop-off or tow plan. Capture photos or videos when useful. Mark urgent safety concerns and avoid translating intake symptoms into a promised diagnosis before qualified inspection.
02Price and get approval
Build the estimate from documented diagnostic work, labor, parts, fluids, shop supplies, fees, taxes, and clear repair options. Separate recommended or deferred maintenance from the concern that brought the vehicle in. Keep the customer's authorized work and declined items visible so the technician, service writer, and invoice history reflect the same decision.
03Deliver and follow through
Schedule or stage the vehicle with concern, mileage, access, diagnosis, parts, and authorization notes available. Record work performed, parts, measurements or tests the shop retains, photos, road-test or verification notes, payment, and warranty context. Follow up on ordered parts, deferred safety work, maintenance intervals, or a recurring symptom using the vehicle's actual history.
